We add new sites and update existing links on a continual basis and
certainly invite you to submit your site to our database.
However, we do not add all submitted URLs to our index or directory, and we
cannot make any predictions or guarantees about when or if they will be included.
Also, sites without a valid email address will not be added.

Suggest A Web Site The following form allows you to submit a site
into our database. Please feel free to submit as many sites as you like. You may also add comments or keywords that describe the content of
your site. These are used only for our information and do not affect how your page is indexed.
Submission Tips, Spider Frequency, & Becoming an Affiliate
- Create Your Own Search Engine - Let us help you create a free cobranded search engine page
for your website. For every sponsored link that your visitors click on we'll give you a share
of the revenue. For more info visit http://affiliate.searchwho.com
- You don't need to submit every page of your web site. Just submit a link to a page that
will eventually link to other pages of your website. Much like someone surfing the net, our
web crawler will surf your site following the links on each page until all of the pages have
been scanned.
- Referral Links - links submitted that actually link into referral or commission
programs rarely make it into our database (i.e.- http://www.makebigmoney.com/id=39892).
These types of links rarely offer any useful content for those searching the web. As the web is
becoming loaded down with this type of marketing, we make it a point to filter out these types of
sites and links. If you need traffic, try visiting findwhat,
Search123, or kanoodle
and purchasing traffic for specific keywords.
- Directory - is only applicable if you're submitting a site to a specific directory page or category. One
example of a directory might be /Arts/Music/Sound_Files/MP3.
- Flash - If your homepage has a Flash movie, make sure there's a Skip Intro link available. Most
search engines spiders are unable to understand a Flash presentation. If your homepage only contains the FLASH
movie then the spider will be unable to find any links that reach into your website.
- Java & Javascript - If your homepage contains java or javascript generated html our search engine will not
see it. Most search engines will not evaluate this type of dynamically generated HTML. Only the static html or
text found in the page will be indexed.
- Frames - our spider retrieves a framed document as if all frames in the initial frameset were
one big page for storage and searching. There is no distinction among the frames. Pages linked from framed documents are
treated as independant pages. When you get a match on a framed page, you will get the url for the entire
frameset. Pages referred to by the framed document will be treated as independant documents.
- If your homepage does not currently offer a good path into the site and you don't want to add a link to make your
site more search engine friendly, you can submit a link that takes our spider into your site. For example,
http://www.mywebsite.com/news/index.html. However, we suggest adding spiderable link to your homepage. Most spiders
crawl the net on their own. Adding a link on the homepage will allow all spiders to scan your site without any
assistance from you. Manually, submitting a spider friendly link to all the engines can be very
time consuming.
- Please be sure to include a valid email address for your site. It will only be used for internal purposes and
will not be distributed outside of our site. Sometimes we actually do have questions about your site!
Note: This only applies to web site owners.
- If your main home page contains no content but instead contains a redirect to another site, then you
must submit the true URL. We do NOT spider offsite domains. If http://www.mysite.com/index.html contains a
redirect to http://www.mysite.com/archive/welcome.html, that is OK. However, if you are redirecting
from http://www.mysite.com to http://www.mybrandnewsite.com, our spider will not follow the link. This rule allows
us to maintain the pure automotive content of our database.
- How can I tell what a spider see's when visiting my home page? We're always updating the intelligence of our
spider and web crawling software so thats somewhat hard to answer. However, Searchwho.com has a utility that may be useful.
- Can I suggest a site? YES, please do. If you don't own a website but know of one that would make a good addition
please let us know.
- By manually registering your site with Searchwho.com you agree to receive periodical email broadcasts regarding your
site submission, our affiliate programmes, and related search engine news.
- Don't just create a web page with a huge list of keywords. Having some actual sentence structure
is better. We're always upgrading our spider for interpreting useful content. If a page is not deemed
to have useful content, it may be dropped from the database.
- We've made every effort to ensure that our is spider website friendly. The fastest our spider will ever visit
your site is only once every 7 seconds.
- A great pair of sites to visit to learn about spider friendly web page design are SearchEngineWorld and SearchEngineWatch.
- If you've registered a site with Searchwho and no longer wish to be in our database or to remove yourself
from any newsletter updates, just enter the web site url and contact information in the above form and
enter the word REMOVE in the comments field of the form. Your site and email address will then be deleted from our
database.
